Description
I took the shape of my own self-portrait, and filled it with an Autumn colored tree from Downs Park in Pasadena, Maryland (2021). I put that against a cloudy blue sky I captured previously. I then wrote a poem having symbolism and related words between the meaning of the poem and the image seen as, "The Autumn Of My Life" and embedded the poem in the digitally composed image. (10-15-22).
The poem in the image may not be easily read unless viewed full screen, or full size so, I will also include the text of the poem in this description.
In The Autumn Of My Life
By Brian Wallace
==================
Now, in the Autumn of my life,
There's not much to compare,
How heavy feel my limbs,
The chill that's in the air,
My roots, they still support me,
Though weaker every year,
Each season I move forward,
Brings me closer to despair,
How far have my branches reached,
Have they covered those in need,
If I've shaded any from the breach,
Or shared a nurturing seed,
My colors will be fading soon,
Leaves falling out of sight,
But there is one thing certain,
They once were full and bright,
And life so ever changing,
With it's challenges and strife,
Is still a gift I wouldn't change,
And I hope I lived it right.
