Description
I created a 3D stereo crossview fractal "Exclude Bulb Meng" 6-27-11, and added a space ship coming into a "docking portal" with a couple of light beams in the portal to give a bit of story to the digital composition on 5-12-21.
This side-by-side "X-view" 3D stereo is free-viewed the same way you would view a "Magic Eye" image. Have the entire side-by-side image within view and gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside.
Not everyone is successful with this viewing method but if you are, it becomes easier each time and eventually 2nd nature. Some of the advantages are that you don't need 3D stereo glasses, no inherent ghosting, and full range of colors.
Disadvantage: you must cross your eyes to view depth.

For those that have trouble with this 3D stereo format, I also have a 3D stereo anaglyph version. That format requires the 3D stereo red/cyan anaglyph glasses for viewing depth. They are inexpensive and can be found online. I recommend Rainbow Symphony, or American Paper Optics.
