Brian, this is a great use of discreet queries and bangs to form the interrobang. You produced five distinctive designs and I'll try to steal them all. Thanks for submitting them to the Interrobang contest. LF

Brian Wallace replied:

Thanks for the comment Jim, hosting the contest, and the L/F. Eventually, some other cool submissions to the contest were made and although I don't usually, I actually voted for some of them.

Artist's Description

The interrobang, also known as the interabang, ‽ (often represented by ?! or !?), is a nonstandard punctuation mark used in various written languages and intended to combine the functions of the question mark (also called the "interrogative point") and the exclamation mark or exclamation point (known in printers' and programmers' jargon as the "bang"). The glyph is a superimposition of these two marks.

About Brian Wallace

Brian Wallace

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Best Regards, Brian Wallace
