Description
I captured a squirrel on a limb at Fort Smallwood Park (9-18-19) in a couple of photos and combined the two poses of the squirrel into one digitally manipulated image that appears like two squirrels raising a flag that has the emblem of acorns on it. My inspiration was the famous WWII image of the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima, captured by Joe Rosenthal on February 23, 1945. It depicts six United States Marines raising a U.S. flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
Bokeh:
In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".
