~ Soul Journey ~

My eyes beheld a pleasing sky with clouds of purplish hue,
Light rays streaming, each one beaming, radiance bold and new,
Being drawn as if to fly, and rising straight and true,
My body hesitated, weighted and waited, but my mind already flew.

My soul uplifted, shifted, drifted, as if assisted, I couldn't resist it anymore,
Amazingly free, at last I could see, I found that I could soar,
As I got lighter, the light got brighter, then everything was calm,
Peaceful bliss, like a mother's kiss, nearly at heaven's door,

Meeting and greeting me as if homeward bound,
My spirit awakened and rejoiced at the sound,
Friends and relations, without hesitations, welcomed me from above,
Those unknown yet as familiar as home, I instantly knew them through love.

Serenity, tranquility, peace and love found,
Renewed, reborn, rejoicing, resound,
Like a renewed memory, knowledge of the universe gifted,
Back home, at last, my shackles have been lifted.
