The interrobang, also known as the interabang, ‽ (often represented by ?! or !?), is a nonstandard punctuation mark used in various written languages and intended to combine the functions of the question mark (also called the "interrogative point") and the exclamation mark or exclamation point (known in printers' and programmers' jargon as the "bang"). The glyph is a superimposition of these two marks.
I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Is it possible to use too many interrobangs? Not yours! This is an shining use of multiple interrobangs to drive the design home! Thank you for submitting this to the Interrobang contest, Brian. LF
Brian Wallace replied:
Thanks for the comment Jim, hosting the contest, and the L/F. Eventually, some other cool submissions to the contest were made and although I don't usually, I actually voted for some of them.
