WONDERFULLY rendered, Brian. There is always so much between the lines In a portrait. ...v...best to you

Brian Wallace replied:

Thanks Laurel, for the nice response to the drawing of my dad. I remember back when I was still in grade school, my parents suddenly got the idea that they wanted my younger sister and I to start calling them "Mother" and "Father". I'm not sure what brought this on but I was disappointed and upset by the notion. I spoke for both my sister and I when I told them I didn't think Mother and Father showed the love and affection we felt for them and that "Mom" and "Dad" indicated much more closeness and love. They saw the light quickly and granted us that permission. Not long afterwards I started calling my dad "Pop", which lasted the rest of his life. Thank you for the vote!
