An imagined depiction of crossing over to "life after life". The concept is depicted by a path to a bridge where the transition begins. The transformation of the soul from the physical body as it departs the restraints of the physical world and continues on, welcomed by an angel surrounded by white light, into the next realm of existence. The mystery of what lies ahead is the beginning of a new journey into enlightenment.

The original base photo is a capture at Wye Mills on the Eastern Shore Of Maryland. I replaced the sky, added glow, vignette, Angel bathed in light, bright mystical star, and blurred the outside of the image. I also digitally stitched two captures and later cropped one side to center the bridge in the middle. An orange/yellow tint was also added for a warmer feeling. I removed a plaque on one of the foreground bridge posts.

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau.
