Artist's Description
I captured the band, "Swampcandy" at the annual Seafood Festival at Sandy Point State Park 9-7-13 and turned it into a silhouette 5-3-21. In this version I added a textured background, stars, and enlarged the image.
Swampcandy is pig drinkin’, whiskey eatin’, foot clapping’, hand stompin’, American music. Fermented in primitive blues, pre war folk sounds, field hollers, gypsy jazz, and ragtime. Steeped in influences from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. Their sound is distilled in a boiler of mercurial energy that swirls with tempo changes and dynamic peaks and valleys, holding the ear and refusing to let go.
Record label: Swampcandy
Genre: Blues
Albums: Midnight Creep / Noonday Stomp, The Dirty Suite, MINE, Land, She Calls To Me
About Brian Wallace

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau.
